A Holistic Approach to Weight Loss That Allows You Enjoy The Food You Love While Designing The Body You Want

Welcome, I am Anna, a Toronto-based and online Registered Holistic Nutritionist working to help women eat, look and feel better.

I work with busy women 40+ (just like you) to help them successfully lose weight naturally and keep it off while enjoying delicious whole foods.

Why am I so passionate about helping you to live a joyful life and become the best version of yourself? Because we are very much alike. I experienced years of struggling with sugar cravings, health issues and attempts to understand the` incredibly complex world of nutrition.

Here is the story of my journey and I want to share it with you.

Yo-yo dieting

In my youth, I considered myself healthy and fit. I was busy with my exciting career, which enabled me to make trips. I loved trying different foods and cuisines and I was crazy about desserts. Not to gain weight I opted for the easy solution: dieting, low-fat food and cutting on calories. This plan worked … for a while.

After the birth of my son, I gained weight again. Considering my baby and family as my top priority, I had very little time and energy left to take care of myself. (Sounds familiar?)

From bad to worse

Then my life made a sharp turn: I moved to Canada. Starting a new life is never easy and I felt so lonely, unhappy, overwhelmed with worries and anxiety that eating comfort food seemed to be the only way for me to co-op with reality.

I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror: I was shapeless, my hair and skin were dull, I looked exhausted and tired. My energy level was so low that I just could not keep up with my very active child. As a result of all this, I had mothers’ guilt feeling which made me even more depressed and unhappy.

My health was deteriorating: I got high blood pressure, headaches, backaches, digestion problems, constipation (didn’t even consider it to be an issue then), insomnia – all issues related to stress. The only “help” I got from my family doctor, was a prescription for the blood pressure medication. I realized that in order to survive I had to find some alternative ways of treatment.

A journey from disease to health

I tried a few ways and eventually I contacted a naturopathic practitioner and it became an eye-opening moment for me. The first time in my life I was pointed out that my body cells lacked nutrients (and I always thought that I was eating reasonably well)! I was deficient in some vital minerals, vitamins and good bacteria in my guts. The nutrient deficiency was the reason for my low energy level, anxiety, headaches, candida overgrowth, constipation, bloating, hair and skin issues.

It was then, that I started my long and the most important journey in my life: from disease to health. By changing what I ate, adding some physical activities to my schedule, and changing my mindset I felt like I became a new and better person: I have more energy, I enjoy activities, I feel confident. I sleep well and I wake up energized. Headaches bother me no more. I can eat and enjoy food without fear of the consequences.

It doesn’t mean that I am always happy, cheerful and stress-free. At times I become moody, irritable or get stressed, but I know how to keep this condition under control.

I have to admit that this transformation did not happen overnight. It was a long journey and I was guided and supported on this path.

My mission

I see it as my mission to help YOU make this journey to a healthier and happier yourself regardless of your age. For that purpose, I went back to school and graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Fun facts about me

  1. I’m not obsessed with healthy eating. The 80/20 rule works fine for me — 80% of the time I eat whole, natural, live foods while 20% of the time I don’t… and no guilty feeling about it.
  2. I love traveling, beaches and trying out various cuisines.
  3. I can’t live without extra dark chocolate.
  4. Life is not fun without enjoying a glass of red wine with dinner or a cappuccino at a patio on a warm sunny day.
